Editorial Integrity & Testing Standards
How Vacuum Lab audits vacuum cleaners, evaluates authenticated consumer feedback, and maintains complete separation between editorial opinions and commercial links.
1. Our Founding Mission
Modern vacuum cleaner shopping has become increasingly confusing. Consumers face exaggerated motor wattage figures, inflated battery runtime claims tested only on the weakest suction setting, and flood of unvetted imported clones. Vacuum Lab was established to provide clear, authentic, and independent buying intelligence for British households.
2. Multi-Tiered Review Methodology
Our product evaluations combine objective engineering specifications with extensive consumer sentiment telemetry:
- Authenticated Purchase Telemetry: We analyze tens of thousands of verified customer purchase reviews, filtering out unverified launch spikes and incentivized promotional feedback.
- 6-to-12 Month Longevity Audits: Any vacuum works well out of the box. We specifically examine feedback from owners who have used their appliances for 6 months or longer to track real-world battery degradation and motor reliability.
- British Home Architecture Focus: We evaluate models specifically against common UK living conditions—such as narrow Victorian staircase treads, under-stair storage cupboards, mixed hardwood/tile floors, and stubborn pet fur on thick wool carpets.
3. Absolute Commercial Separation
Our editorial rankings and product evaluations are produced with complete independence. Writers and researchers do not receive commission incentives based on which specific vacuum a reader buys. If an entry-level handheld outperforms a premium stick vacuum on stairs, it takes the top recommendation—period.
